The Four Aces are the heroes of Portland, Oregon - not exactly the hotbed of supervillain activity. Many people outside of Oregon and Washington have never even heard of the Aces, but they are loved by the locals. Why not? it's not every city that has a superhero, let alone four.

Maelstom, whipper-upper of whirlpools of waves and wind; Golden Man, shining strongman; Steelhawk, a modern knight armed only with a sword and a motorcycle; and Ghost Girl, the teleporting strongwoman with a nasty disposition.

Together they have stood against foes both powerful and mundane, but their individual beginnings have never been revealed.
