Hello there, and welcome to the sixteenth (and somewhat abbreviated) edition of... Son of Thunder!

Well, turns out the Chicago Cubs didn't make the World Series.

Again.

Honestly, I don't know what we'd do if they actually went to the Series, never mind them actually winning. Would it ruin the fun, the mystique, the hope, the agony?

Nahhhh.

Went to my parents' for Thanksgiving, along with my sisters and their families. We went to a circus, ate a ton of food, and even went to the Notre Dame - Stanford game, which they actually won for a nice change of pace. The team was even better than the final score made it seem, since we had two spectacular touchdowns called back for penalties (one of which I agreed with, the other I didn't). Oh well.

This December is music-central for us, since we went to the Rockettes show, are going to see Billy Joel on Saturday night, and the Phantom of the Opera the week after that. Hoped to get to the Brian Setzer Orchestra but that's the night of our downtown "hey we're tourists!" museum and shopping trip. All in all, an enjoyable season to look forward to.

Not just because of the shows, of course. I'll be celebrating Christmas at Maggie's, with Maggie, and that's the best Christmas present of all.

Ahh, but something has to give, and I'm afraid it's my contributions for this issue.

I do have a number of new pictures, including Thanksgiving and Christmas drawings. the fun starts at the very bottom of Americana's Art Gallery #17, then continues in grand style in Americana's Art Gallery #18.

I have two new stories in the Americana section. Our heroine decides to go after Jazzabelle, but ends up facing a Nightmare in New Orleans. Then the action really heats up when she enters the Theatre de Magie. Guest stars galore!

And a little something I found which sums up Americana perfectly.

So. Everyone have a very merry and safe holiday season.

Merrrrry Christmas!
